Frequently Asked Questions
Clear-Flow is installed non-invasively on the recirculation line post-pump, pre-filter to ensure the strongest flocculation effect possible. Clear-Flow is installed on a metal component of the system (reducer, flange, pump) by a certified representative. The LCD screen on the unit will display the live status and operation of Clear-Flow’s treatment.
Clear-Flow works as an electronic flocculant within recreational water systems. Clear-Flow propagates a low-frequency AC signal thousands of times per second through the piping network to create an omnipresent treatment. This signal works to agglomerate both organic and inorganic materials to enhance filtration. Due to this effect, operators can expect to see a decrease in frequency and duration of backwashing leading to savings in water, energy and labor associated with those backwashes.
Clear-Flow’s flocculation effect works to increase the size of the particulate that is caught in the filter. This particulate rests on top of the filter media, as opposed to becoming embedded within, which allows for a consistent flow rate.
Clear-Flow has no ongoing maintenance! That means no re-ordering cartridges, bulbs, or consumables. We are proud to provide a system with no moving parts to simplify maintenance within your pump room.
Clear-Flow is certified to NSF/ANSI Standard 50 as a water conditioning device. Documentation of certification and applicable performance claims is provided with each system that we ship. In addition to NSF, our technology is has undergone additional third-party evaluations with independent testing organizations including IAPMO (International Association of Plumbing & Mechanical Officials) to evaluate the technology's ability to manage combined chlorine levels, reduce turbidity, and save water.
Our technology is EMC/EMI certified. Operating in a low-frequency, Clear-Flow will not interfere with chemical controllers or other equipment in your pump room.
Clear-Flow is not an AOP or nanobubble system. Clear-Flow utilizes a low-frequency electromagnetic treatment signal that has been tested and validated across a plethora of industries. Additionally, Clear-Flow’s patented and proprietary technology has been vetted and proven across third-party and university testing, unlike many other chemical-free systems.
Clear-Flow does not make claims for primary or secondary disinfection. Proper sanitization is always recommended.
Working to enhance the pool's filtration, Clear-Flow will work to agglomerate organic material, which may increase the efficiency of primary and secondary sanitizers. Clear-Flow’s technology is also proven to inhibit and remove sessile bacteria (biofilm) within fluid systems, which may result in further efficiency gains.
